College Applications Playlist

The college application process can be extremely daunting. One thing that gives me solace when undertaking the process is music. Music is something that can encompass a wide range of emotions from various points on the spectrum. If I feel sad, Elton John is there to help me wallow as I complete my essays. If I feel like getting stuff done, melodic tunes help. Feeling angry? Beyoncé’s got a song for that. If I feel like I need something to lift my spirits, there’s nothing an ABBA song can’t do. Below is a list of songs that can help make this process considerably less intimidating, regardless of what you’re feeling.

Landslide – Fleetwood Mac

Make You Feel My Love – Bob Dylan

Lazarus – David Bowie

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road – Elton John

Study Music

Moonlight In Vermont – Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong

Piano Concerto No. 1 Opt.11 Romance: Larghetto – Frédéric Chopin

Cello Suite No.1 Sarabande – Johann Sebastian Bach

Let’s get in the mood! Pump up!

Hey Ya! – Outkast

Don’t Rain on My Parade – Funny Girl Soundtrack

Lay All Your Love on Me – ABBA

Unwritten – Natasha Bedingfield

Sorry – Beyoncé

Haxel Princess – Cherry Glazerr

It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World – James Brown

Don’t Speak- No Doubt

You’re so Vain – Carly Simon
