On Thursday February 16th, the Samo Boys Varsity Basketball team played their first round CIF playoff game against Upland High School. Even though the Vikings played hard, they were not able to overcome the lead that the Highlanders set in the beginning of the game. The final score came out to 55-77, a painful Viking loss. The Vikings are now eliminated from playoff contention and finished out the season with an overall record of 12-15. “It was a disappointing lost,” said Senior Captain Holden Foshag. “We’ve been through a lot this season and to see it end against Upland was definitely frustrating. I’m proud of my teammates and what we’ve been able to overcome.”
