Girls lacrosse loses against Polytechnic

On Fri., March 10, the Samo girls lacrosse team played in their second game of the season against Polytechnic High School. They started out strong, keeping the lead throughout the game and defeating Polytechnic 14-5.

“We have improved so much from our last game,” head coach Justine Beirne said. “Our passing and offense have gotten stronger and now we are going to work a lot harder on defense and overhead passing.”

Esme Carter (’19) was very happy with the team’s performance as a whole. Even though she was nervous before the game, she was able to score two goals for her team.

“Before the game I was worried about how we would do. We didn’t win our first game so we were all a bit nervous,” Carter said. “We all came together as a team and worked really well and accomplished everything we needed to.”
