Samo cheer returns to competition after four year hiatus
On Jan. 25, the Samo cheerleading team took part in four Double A Medium Division CIF competitions at Riverside’s Martin Luther King High School. The event marked the teams return to competition after more than four years of not participating, due to the instability in coaching.

A BOOST for health students at LACCD
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) is in the process of implementing a new program called Building Outstanding Opportunities for Students to Thrive or otherwise known as BOOST. BOOST selects 250 students pursuing health careers to receive a thousand dollars each month for one year to help students who face financial challenges and might otherwise struggle to continue their education.

Samo cross country is wrapping up their 2024 season as the Ocean-League Champions and historic qualifiers for the CIF Southern Section Finals. For the first time in Samo history, both the boys’ and girls’ teams qualified for CIF finals.
